A masjid for worship, learning, and community life.

Resident Imam

Matib Ahmad

Imam Matib is a native Atlantan who has spent much of his life learning from and serving Georgia’s Muslim community. He memorized the Qur’an at Darul Uloom Atlanta, based at Masjid Al-Farooq, in 2003, and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Arabic from the University of Georgia. During this time he continued his studies in Arabic, Islamic theology, law, and spirituality under local scholars and religious teachers.

For nearly two decades, he has led the nightly Ramadan prayers (tarawih) at various masajid, and has delivered khutbahs, halaqat, and religious instruction.

He now serves as the Resident Imam of Gwinnett Islamic Circle (GIC), where his work includes teaching, pastoral care, youth mentorship, public speaking, and community leadership.
